music portable
You make music, You ‘ve got an iphone? I do.
You think is a geek thing? You think is just about fashion? It might be.
But seriously, that a piece of technology I’m so glad to have. I mean, since I’m 12 (oh sweet amstrad cpc 6128!), I dream about a tiny & powerful music machine.
Ok, Apple politics is not very clear and might break sometimes the rules of democratic uses, but, iI just can admit they make things in a really clever way. And Iphone is just the best machine they have made.
SO, since a couple of months i ve been testing a bunch of iphone music apps, and sometimes i made a bit of music ;)
here my top chart:
Dopplerpad That sequencer sampler is just amazing. If you want to record on the fly, play with it, sequenced it, and make tracks super easely, Just go on the website to check it out, you won’t be disappointed, trust me. V2 is coming, i can’t wait!

Beatmaker MPC into your cellphone. I’m not telling you bullshit. That soft is just awesome. Ergonomy is perfect, and sound quality is just incredible (up too 24bits 96khz!) Some producers have made whole album with it…I bet that new hip hop underground generation is going to use that kind of portable mpc a lot.
Touchosc You know lemur by Jazzmutant company? A multitouch screen device which let you build any kind of controller, knobs, faders, pads, buttons, labels, etc….Touchosc is all of that, on your iphone screen. Coupled with oscullator software, is a powerful piece of controller with your DAW, I use it a lot for my shows.

An interactive music player/protocol. Hard to describe. Albums might “listen” to the world around you, and listeners could record their own alternate versions of music and share with others.

Bebot A theremin/synth. Sounds incredibly good.

easy Beat
A “on the fly” drum kit maker, I love it, so creative and flexible.

I ve got a bunch more, but those are the ones I use permanantly.
